CCF RAF Section Report
It’s been a great week of fun for the RAF section. On Tuesday 6th June they undertook a leadership exercise in the Long Wood at school called ‘Blind Trail’, whereby the leader, Cdt Adam Shaw, had to negotiate his team through a course woven between trees and obstacles by giving them directions whilst they were all blindfolded. He did very well during his first command task as the leader and the team only fell over once when Instructor Cadets Sgt Tom Cusack and LCpl Harry Goward decided to add another limitation by shouting ‘incoming!’. At the end of the week, on Friday 9th June, we had glorious weather for our visit to RAF Cranwell for an AEF flying day. New flyer Cdt Sam Seidu thoroughly enjoyed his first ever flight in a ‘Grobe Tutor’ and Cdt Max Chapman and Cdt Jonathan Bellamy both quizzed their pilots on how to navigate during their second flight experience. We are all looking forward to the next flying day on Friday 30th June.
Interested in CCF? The RAF Section are looking for new recruits, boys and girls – we parade every Tuesday at 4.30pm in the square. Just turn up there or speak to any of the CCF staff around school.
