Future Chef – Stage 1

Stage 1 of the annual FutureChef competition took place in the Food Technology department on Monday the 12th October during prep time. The challenge was to make a main course meal for 2 people costing no more than £5 in 60 minutes. The competition was particularly high this year and I was amazed by the talent and sheer calmness of all our 8 entries. All entries received points for their house.

The winner on this occasion was Yasmina Lock who made fishcakes that would not looked out of place on Masterchef. The runner-up was Isabella Mulvihill who made prawn curry. Huge congratulations to all competitors and we all would like to wish Yasmina and Isabella  good luck as they both go forward to Stage 2 of the competition on Friday 13th November at Loughborough College.
