House Pancake Races – Tuesday 4th March 2014

Comments are closed.

This year’s House Pancake Races were a great success again. All four Houses competed with gusto and were cheered on by an excited crowd. Thank you to the House Guardians and House Captains for organising teams and to the participants who competed so well. There were the amusing usual incidents as hats split midway through a run and had to be held on while pancakes slipped and slithered in the pans. Fortunately, nobody slipped over this year! The crowd was treated to some expert pancake ‘flipping’ partly due to the double thickness of the pancakes. These really were industrial thickness made for flipping rather than eating – just the job!
