Ratcliffe riders raise money for children’s cancer unit

Well done to all the parents, staff and students who took part in Sunday’s fundraising 100 mile cycle ride around Leicestershire and Rutland and which started and finished at Ratcliffe College. For many of them who got caught in the rain and wind in the afternoon, it was gruelling experience cycling back from Oakham across the hills at Brook, Launde, Loddington and Tilton. Some of the cyclists spent over 9hrs in the saddle and many were absolutely frozen when they eventually reached Ratcliffe where a hot cup of tea and some cake was kindly provided by the Parents Association.

If you haven’t already sponsored the 100+ cyclists who rode in support of Ratcliffe I would urge you to consider doing so now if you are able – they really did put in a lot of effort and they paid £50 for the privilege!

Sponsor the Ratcliffe Riders - this link will take you to VirginMoneyGiving where you can donate online to the Ratcliffe College Foundation. All money raised is being split with Leicester Hospital’s Our Space Appeal for the children’s cancer unit (Ward 27)
