Year 6 Trip to the Black Country Museum
On Friday 30th November Year 6 ventured to the Black Country Museum. The trip was arranged to support their History topic ‘The Victorians’. Despite the cold weather, the children thoroughly enjoyed being guided around and learning what life was like then. Highlights included, visits to Victorian homes, a chemist, a hardware store, a sweet shop, a Victorian school lesson on the ‘3 R’s’ and a trip on the canal and a chance to ‘leg it’ through the tunnels. The most enjoyable part of the day, though, was the chance to enjoy freshly cooked chips in front of an open fire at lunch time! Both the staff and children really enjoyed the experience and the children were a credit to the school with their behaviour throughout the day.
