Ratcliffe College has a vibrant golf programme which runs throughout the year on a Friday. It offers students from Years 7 – 13 the opportunity to work on their game in the winter months and play regularly when the weather improves.
We are very lucky to have some amazing courses locally and we visit Beedles Lake and Park Hill Golf Clubs weekly, while we also play several our golf fixtures at Rothley Golf Club. All these golf clubs offer excellent facilities for the students, including driving ranges, practice areas and two par three courses, plus the main courses. Golf lessons are also offered to students at different times throughout the year.
The students enjoy a range of matches from National Schools Competitions, staff v Students and House Golf. All helping them to increase their love for the game of golf. We currently have Emily Dunne who represents England U18 and Aimee Cleminson who represents Leicestershire at Golf.
The school also tours at the end of each year, with previous venues including; Turnberry, St Andrew’s, Royal Portrush and Royal Porthcawl to name just a few.
