Pastoral Care

Pastoral care, underpinned by strong Christian values, is at the heart of Ratcliffe College.  All children, from the moment they are offered a place at Ratcliffe, have the opportunity to spend time with us to familiarise themselves with the school and to get to know their future friends and teachers.  All pupils meet every morning and every afternoon for Registration with the Form Teacher, who helps them with their daily routines, organising their academic work and encouraging every child to achieve a good balance between academia and involvement with a wide range of extra-curricular activities.  With their Form Teacher, students explore all issues within the curriculum of Personal, Social, Health and Citizenship Education (PSHCE), supplemented by many outside speakers.

Our Chaplaincy Team provides invaluable support to all pupils, and this is complemented by our Sixth Form Student Listeners who avail themselves to children of all ages.
